BURLINGTON, Iowa – The Quincy Doggy Paddlers came up short in a 10–5 loss to the Burlington Bees on Thursday night at Community Field.
Quincy jumped out early with a run in the first and added solo homers from Jimmy Koza and Tyler Butina, but Burlington’s lineup racked up 17 hits including six runs in the final three innings to pull away late.
Starting pitcher Hayden Steelman took the loss, allowing four runs over five innings. Koza went 2-4 with two RBIs and a walk, but the Paddlers left seven runners on base, falling to 8–9 on the season.
