Brian Wosman brings nearly three decades of leadership, coaching, and administrative experience to the organization. After beginning his career in education, Brian joined the Palmyra R-1 School District in 2001, where he made a lasting impact both in the classroom and on the field.
During his 11 years as head softball coach, he led Palmyra to an impressive 202–75 record, capturing back-to-back Class 2 State Championships in 2006 and 2007 and returning to the Final Four in 2012. He also spent three years as the varsity basketball coach before transitioning into athletic administration.
Brian served his final 18 years at Palmyra as the Athletics Director and Transportation Director. In 2018–2019, he was honored as the North East Regional Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrator of the Year, a recognition of his leadership, integrity, and commitment to student-athletes.
Baseball has always been in Brian’s blood. His father, Jim Wosman, dedicated nearly three decades to the Quincy Gems, starting in 1996 when the team played in the CICL. From caring for the field to washing uniforms and preparing the ballpark for fans, his father poured his heart into Quincy baseball through the summer of 2023. That legacy of pride, hard work, and community continues with Brian’s new role.
We are thrilled to welcome Brian to the Doggy Paddlers front office and look forward to the passion, experience, and dedication he brings to our team and our fans.
