Doggy Paddlers Slowed at Alton

ALTON, Ill. – The Quincy Doggy Paddlers fell on the road in seven innings to the Alton River Dragons behind a ten-run third inning on Saturday night.

The River Dragons used a three-run homer, a triple, and a double to plate seven of the ten runs in the frame and go up 10-3.

Quincy held a three-run advantage with a first inning RBI single from Skylar Graham and an RBI base hit from General Schofield. Jimmy Koza hit a sacrifice fly in the second to give the visitors a 3-0 lead before the big inning by Alton.

The Doggy Paddlers will look to take the three-game set over Alton tomorrow at Lloyd Hopkins Field beginning at 5:35 p.m.
